- Cindy Gray
- Cindy Gray is a Christian artist who specializes in portrait painting. She studied art and design at Middle Tennessee State University. After University, she accepted a position at Animax, in Nashville, Tennessee, where she worked with a team of artists to design and create characters for TV, Theme Parks, and the Theater. She began to paint full time after moving to a quiet little community which sits in the shadows of the Cumberland Plateau in South Central Tennessee. With her children now grown, she still happily resides there with her supportive husband, Rick, who partners with her to create works of art. Though inspired by the beauty of her surrounding, Cindy is drawn to the “human” landscape. The mystery, overwhelming joy, innocence, or aged wisdom expressed by the subtle lines and forms of one’s face is the inspiration for her art. She hopes that her portraitures will be enjoyed, not just by this generation, but by generations to come. This is her Personal Statement: “I am not my own. With Tiffany (My daughter) visiting before she moves off to Orlando, I posted a reply to BROOK but it posted from Tiffany. I quickly deleted it, leaving one less comment than listed, ha.
Brook, Thanks for the comment and as always, your support and encouragement. I enjoy writting the essays about as much as I do the painting. I am joining the group, Wordless Wednesdays on blogspot...thereby the strange (for me) post.
The next one will be WITH WORDS! Sorry I am such a slow blogger, too. It is becoming almost impossible with Dial-up. Tiffany is about to loose it! ha.
Cindy, we love all your paintings. We were showing off the painting you did for us last night and the people were amazed at how wonderful your work is. They asked how they could see more of your work so I passed your blog and website addresses along to them. Keep up the awesome work : )
